Opening of the Academy

On the 24th of June 2014, Barry-Callebaut opened its prime jewel ‘The Chocolate Academy™ Centre’ in Wieze, the Flemish village where it all started.

In this advanced centre of education every craftsman is welcome to improve his or hers’ qualities, talents or just search for inspiration. Our chefs and Ambassadors work exclusively with high quality Barry-Callebaut products. They are supported by other national and international guest chefs who are all eager to share their knowledge and craftsmanship with colleagues and course participants alike.

The Chocolate Academy™ Belgium is located next to the worlds’ largest chocolate factory, where Callebaut has been producing chocolate since 1911. Here we continue the tradition of the previous academy and we continue to teach our course participants and the world the secrets, tradition and passion behind the bean to bar process.
