Gabriella Cugno Makes Chocolate Dreams a Reality in ‘Wonka’

A selection of chocolate items from Wonka

No matter which movie iteration of Roald Dahl’s classic children’s novel ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ is your favourite, we know that you (just like us!) are probably most excited about the magical chocolates and confections featured throughout the film. From the famous edible teacup to colourful candy flowers and golden eggs, this is the stuff of confectionery fantasy, and in the 2023 movie, UK Chocolatier Gabriella Cugno worked to turn chocolate dreams into reality, making real chocolate plants, clouds, and more as well as acting as the movie’s chocolate expert.

She teaches masterclasses, offers consulting, and provides catering for events. She also works with cocoa farmers and producers to develop recipes for delicious chocolates.
