For several years in a row, the final events of the World Chocolate Masters competition have been held at Salon du Chocolat at the Paris Expo center at the Porte de Versailles.

This incredible exhibition takes place over five days every fall, organized around the French public holiday on November 1st, so that everyone has plenty of time to enjoy the festivities.

The event features demonstrations from renowned chefs, competitions (including Le Mondial des Arts Sucrés in addition to World Chocolate Masters), and a chocolate fashion show.

Check to see if your frequent flyer miles will also cover your kids’ plane tickets because the Salon also features  Salon du Chocolat Junior, complete with child and family-friendly demonstrations and workshops.

The exhibition center is massive, boasting 228,211 square meters (2,456,440 sq ft) of floor space. It will host volleyball and table tennis matches for the 2024 Summer Olympics.

To zoom out a little bit more and help you plan your trip (it never hurts to dream), let’s take a look at Paris’s 15th Arrondissement, where the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles is located. It is the city’s most heavily populated Arrondissement, and while it is mainly known as a residential area, it is home to more than 40 parks, gardens, and squares. It stretches from the Eiffel Tower all the way to the southern border of Paris, and visitors will find plenty of shops, restaurants, and museums to keep them occupied should they need a break from the sensory overload of Salon du Chocolat.
