Cate Liu has been the Assistant Pastry Chef at the New York Chocolate Academy since March 2023. An early interest in traditional English style cake decorating and sugarcraft fueled her passion for the art and science of pastry. After graduating from the Institute of Culinary Education, she began her pastry career at Michelin-starred Jean-Georges. Cate then assisted in the opening of Kreuther Handcrafted Chocolate, where she further developed her skills in fine chocolate. Before joining the Chocolate Academy, she was the opening sous chef at the experimental R├ęcolte Dessert Bar.
