No matter which movie iteration of Roald Dahl’s classic children’s novel ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ is your favourite, we know that you (just like us!) are probably most excited about the magical chocolates and confections featured throughout the film. From the famous edible teacup to colourful candy flowers and golden eggs, this is the stuff of confectionery fantasy, and in the 2023 movie, UK Chocolatier Gabriella Cugno worked to turn chocolate dreams into reality, making real chocolate plants, clouds, and more as well as acting as the movie’s chocolate expert.

About Chef Gabriella

Chef Gabriella began working in restaurants in Cardiff when she was 15 years old, and she’s been on an incredible journey ever since. We first met Gabriella when she entered - and won! - the UK & Ireland Junior World Chocolate Masters competition in 2017. She has also been named The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts “Young Pastry Chef of The Year.” Her talent and passion have taken her all over Europe, to the Far East, and the Caribbean. She teaches masterclasses, offers consulting, and provides catering for events. She also works with cocoa farmers and producers to develop recipes for delicious chocolates.
